Seminarbeschreibung

Would you like to:

  • speak honestly about what matters to you, without slipping into judgment of the other person?
  • really listen and understand what’s moving someone?
  • break free of old patterns and find new ways of handling conflict?
  • connect with your own needs and the needs of others?

Nonviolent Communication (NVC), developed by Marshall B. Rosenberg, opens up new paths through conflict and stuck situations. When we shift our attention away from evaluation, away from asking what the other person is doing wrong, and toward our values, toward what truly matters to us, we become far more likely to understand and be understood. Conflict then turns into an opportunity: for personal growth and for deepening the quality of our relationships.

This introductory training offers a structured way into both the method and the underlying stance of Nonviolent Communication, with plenty of room to practice what you learn.

The training covers:

  • the essential question of how we want to live and relate to one another,
  • how to speak your truth honestly, through the four steps of Nonviolent Communication: observation, feeling, need, and request,
  • and the art of listening and the practice of empathy.

Each topic begins with a short theory input and is then brought to life through individual and group exercises.

Completing this introductory seminar qualifies you for admission to the 15-day training programme in Nonviolent Communication.
